This is most expensive part for us to got ready world trip. We needed to buy everything at the same time. Motorcycles, drivers license, motorcycles gears, modify motorcycle, camping stuff, outdoor stuff….etc.
We want to discover the world and to be on the road many yeas; we have to spend carefully. Therefore, some stuff we tried to find cheap and use a while. If we wait more to have extra money, we knew that we never start to ride. Because when we were making money, we could say ‘ We can buy this brand or that one. They are expensive. Our money doesn’t enough so, work more, work more….’
I want to write all details. Maybe you are getting ready for this kind trip as well!
We spent 14.660 Euro what we have now on the road. I am sure some stuff I forgot the write, which can’t be more than 300 Euro. 🙁
Motorcycles:
I bought my motorcycles second hand in Istanbul, Turkey. It is 2014 model and when I bought It was 3.500 km. I paid 3.950 Euro.
He bought his motorcycle in Holland. It was new and he paid 5.600 Euro.
We bought our motorcycles in our home countries to avoid border problems because some countries check your name on driver license and vehicle register.
Motorcycle modify-extra :
Side bags and metal bars, disk alarms… etc
Tools, oil filter, air filter, disk, chain….etc
Change seats, has screen. Make a big leg… etc
were total 1.200 EURO.
Drive License:
He has started to ride motorcycle for our trip. So, he needed his license first. And we paid 960 Euro for that.
Motorcycles Gear:
I stopped to ride motorcycle 10 years ago. Maybe I sold my motorcycle but not my gear. I checked them and I saw still I can use it. Only I need pants and a helmet. I didn’t want to use 10 years old helmet. We bought everything for Ferry. We were lucky because where he bought motorcycle they gave a discount to us.
We paid all motorcycle gear 1.000 Euro. We didn’t look so much for brand at that moment but I wish we could do that. 🙂
Paperwork :
I needed a green insurance to ride motorcycle in Europe. We need to have a carnet for our world trip. I am not going to add here carnet deposit because hopefully we will get this back but not the carnet book price. We took international drivers license as well. Turkey or Holland driver license is not acceptable all around the world. We checked Africa and saw easily some countries are not on the list. We didn’t want to get risk and have one. Until now, nobody ask but you never know. 🙁 We said bye to 700 Euro for all.
Camping:
I was traveling in South America before met FS therefore we didn’t buy all camping stuff. We spent approx. 1.000 Euro. We can remember big stuff was how much but not some little things. 🙂

Outdoor:
We were a little lucky for it because we were going to hiking. When we were in Norway on August we didn’t think that the weather could be so cold. Therefore, we bought jacket and pants there, which we like a lot want to keep for our big trip. We paid 250 Euro.
